Treatments to know about: Most tourmaline is sold untreated, but some colours are enhanced: pink/red (rubellite) and some blue/green stones may be heated or irradiated, and fracture-filling is occasionally seen on included stones. A laboratory report can confirm the status of a specific stone.

This stone: The listing states this stone is unheated / untreated.

Certification: this stone is currently uncertified. A laboratory report (IGI, ALGT, GLA, AIGS, SSEF and others) can be arranged before or after purchase – contact us at support@gemscreationart.com.

Quality Assurance: all gemstones are carefully selected and inspected by our expert team.

How to Clean Your Tourmaline

Mohs hardness: 7–7.5

Safe care method:

• Use a soft brush and mild dish soap with warm water
• Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth

⚠️ Avoid:

• Ultrasonic and steam cleaners – tourmaline is often included and sensitive to heat
• Sudden temperature changes
• Harsh chemicals

If a stone is set in jewellery, follow the most delicate rule for the stone or setting. For heavily soiled pieces, ask a professional jeweller.
